Pacific Continental Realty, LLC (PCR) was formed in 1972 in Orange County, CA, and its headquarters moved to Washington in 1990 as the first commercial brokerage in Whatcom County.     Jim has been active in the commercial real estate market in Bellingham and the Pacific Northwest for more than three decades. Jim works in acquisitions, sales, leasing, and management of office, retail, and industrial properties.     Tracy Carpenter (Managing Broker)

    Tracy has worked in Sales and Leasing of commercial properties for a dozen years. In past life's she was a life coach and the director of a nonprofit. Those years of experience brings Tracy to the negotiating table with the attributes of being a truly honest and top of the table negotiator. Her years in this industry has taught her when to push, when to give, what kinds of issues are important, what resources are needed, as well as to be sensitive to the needs of her clients and the project goals. Her connections in the community give her the resource directory for all the needs in this industry. Personable, Knowledgeable, Resourcefulness make Tracy an excellent agent!

    Scott Walker (Broker)

    Scott has an extensive background in the fields of business, law, real estate development and finance, construction, leasing and sales. His experience, skills, education and personal warmth enable him to find solutions to complex issues quickly and with all personality types. After practicing law for 18 years, Scott served as an executive with six different local companies. Scott was chosen 2008 Whatcom County Business Person of the Year by Whatcom Business Monthly magazine. Scott was the Chairman of the Board of the World Floor Covering Association headquartered in Georgia through 2016, and he has also served on a number of other boards for companies and non-profit organizations. Scott is a graduate of Sehome High, Whitman (Economics), Northwestern (JD) and George Washington University (LLM). He is a veteran (Navy JAG) and a long-time member of Bellingham Bay Rotary.

  • Heather Baker

    Heather Baker (Property Services Broker)

    Heather is one of our property service brokers, working as a property manager and commercial broker. Before joining PCR, Heather co-owned LuLu…wonderful things, a women’s clothing boutique, in downtown Bellingham. She has served on the board for the Downtown Bellingham partnership for 4 years and is currently the vice president. She comes to PCR with a strong passion for making the downtown a great place to live, shop and work. Heather also brings with her several years of experience as a residential agent. Her attention to detail and ability to develop relationships built on trust and good communication will be an asset to all her clients. Heather enjoys providing the highest level of customer service and strives to see that all of her client’s goals are achieved.


  • Alex Casey

    Alex Casey (Facilities Manager)

    Alex is our Facilities Manager, which is responsible for overseeing the maintenance on all of our managed properties. He has worked in property management for over 4 years, managing several hundred residential and condo associations. Prior to working in property management he worked in retail management, specializing in customer service and technology. Alex enjoys working with the PCR and PCM teams to ensure that maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner for our tenants and to protect owner investments.


  • Nancy Bjerke

    Nancy Bjerke (Managing Broker)

    Nancy has worked in commercial real estate for over two decades. She currently is a managing broker, heading up our property management division. Beyond real estate she has many years experience as a preschool teacher, parent educator, and retail shop owner. She brings to PCR skills in property management, retail experience, and human services which combined together contributes to good listening skills, problem solving, accuracy and dedication to the PCR team. Nancy enjoys working with the quality team of professionals at the office, as well as the property owners to meet the goals of real estate investment and management.


Bookkeeping and Accounting

  • Karen Keeling

    Karen Keeling (Bookkeeper)

    Karen Keeling is a recent escapee from her home stomping grounds of New Mexico and Texas. After several vacations to the Puget Sound area, she chose beautiful, cool, friendly, Bellingham as her forever home. She graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with advanced degrees in the Social Sciences and Urban Planning, having worked in several industries in mid-management and accounting, spent 14 years in various sectors of oil and gas, and most recently 20 years in commercial and retail real estate development and management. She’s proudest of her contribution as Property Manager and Accountant over the 30-year planned urban renewal project, the Santa Fe Railyard in her hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico.


Crown Plaza Executive Office Suites

  • Diane Ford

    Diane Ford (Office Manager)

    Diane has worked for Crown Plaza Executive Suites for over 15 years prior to PCR taking over direct management of the floor. Diane is a vital part of the success of the Executive Suites as she handles incoming calls for all the tenants on the floor (as well as other tenants in the building), greets and announces their clients, distributes incoming and outgoing mail and performs numerous other clerical and administrative duties.



  • Tina Shelton

    Tina Shelton (Marketing Manager)

    Tina is a new addition to the PCR team. Her work history is centered on solutions for clients in tech forward industries. She brings this experience plus a recent graduation from WWU to the table in her position as Marketing Manager. In addition to these skills, Tina is an author and has written six books and published three, as well as being published in several short story anthologies. Tina brings her creativity together with her technical savvy to get the word out about Pacific Continental Realty.

    Eric is part of our Pacific Continental Maintenance team. He brings to PCM all his knowledge and skills from 25+ years in construction, installation, maintenance, and repair. His strong work ethic and dedication to the team make him a great asset to the company.
